Drubner & Hartley, LLC has represented clients in a wide variety of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigations, including those involving breach of fiduciary duty claims. ERISA is a law enacted by Congress in 1974, which sets forth the minimum standards applicable to employers who offer retirement benefits. In addition to previous cases involving ERISA claims, the firm is presently litigating a case on behalf of its clients and other securities brokers who were employed by Advest Inc. as securities brokers and participated in the Advest Inc. Account Executive Nonqualified Defined Benefit Plan. The clients are pursuing a recovery based on an alleged violation of ERISA’s minimum vesting standards on behalf of those plan participants who were denied the benefits to which they were entitled because they terminated their employment with Advest shortly before the sale of the company. For more information about Drubner & Hartley and its ERISA practice, or to discuss your knowledge of any potential wrongdoing, please feel free to contact one of our attorneys in our New York or Connecticut offices. |
